Cardan compensators
- They are designed to allow angular rotation in all planes, which is achieved by coupling elements (articulated levers, screws and cardan ring). This type of compensator cannot be used individually but is always used in sets of two or three pieces depending on the pipeline or in combination with a single joint compensator.
- The use of these compensators can compensate for large displacements of the pipeline, and the advantage of this type is to eliminate the need for robust solid points because the force due to internal pressure is taken over by the coupling elements.
